The “Taper Ade” beta study is designed to gather feedback from adults who are actively attempting to reduce or taper their use of a substance. Participants will test early versions of the Taper Ade “Stim” and “Chill” packs and provide feedback about when they used them, how long the effects lasted, whether the product helped delay or replace a normal dose, and whether any side effects occurred.

Participants will complete an onboarding survey, receive Taper Ade test packs, respond to brief SMS check-ins during the study period, and complete a final survey at the end of the study.

• 7 Taper Ade Chill Packs

Taper Ade Stim Pack

The Stim Pack is formulated to support alertness, focus, and cognitive engagement, and may be most useful during times when participants typically rely on a substance for energy, motivation, or productivity. Because the Stim Pack emphasizes cognitive engagement, participants are encouraged to use it earlier in the day, preferably in the morning or early afternoon, as taking it later in the day may interfere with sleep for some individuals.

Taper Ade Chill Pack

The Chill Pack is formulated to support calmness and relaxation, and may be useful during periods of restlessness, anxiety, or evening wind-down.

These packs are intended to be used over approximately two weeks, with participants using roughly one pack per day during the study.

How to Use Taper Ade During the Study

Participants may use the Taper Ade packs at times when they would normally take a dose of their usual substance or during periods when cravings, fatigue, restlessness, or other withdrawal-related symptoms typically occur. Participants should use the packs in the way that feels most relevant to their normal usage patterns and report their experiences honestly during the daily check-ins.

Participation & Completion Requirements

To participate in the Taper Ade beta study, participants must:

• Review the Taper Ade Beta Study Terms Of Use And Privacy Policy and Ingredients List And Contraindications
• Complete the onboarding survey
• Use the product during the study period
• Complete the final survey at the end of the study

Participants who complete both the onboarding survey and the final survey will be eligible to receive the study completion reward.

Why Your Feedback Matters

The daily check-ins are the most important part of this study. These quick responses help us understand how Taper Ade performs in real-world situations and directly influence how future versions of the product are developed. By taking a few seconds to respond each day, participants play a direct role in shaping the final version of Taper Ade.

Daily Feedback

During the study, participants will receive brief daily SMS check-ins containing a short survey link.These surveys take less than 30 seconds to complete and help us understand:

• When Taper Ade was used
• Whether it helped delay or replace a normal dose
• How long its effects lasted
• Whether any unpleasant side effects occurred

Participants are strongly encouraged to respond to these daily check-ins whenever possible, as this feedback provides the most valuable insights for improving the product. Participants who regularly respond to daily check-ins provide the most meaningful feedback and play a direct role in shaping future versions of Taper Ade. Participants who consistently ignore study check-ins may be removed from the study at the discretion of the study organizers.

Completion Reward

Participants who complete the onboarding survey and the final survey will receive a free Quit Kit as a thank-you for participating in the study.

Safety Notice

Participants should review the ingredient list before using the product. If any unexpected or concerning symptoms occur, participants should discontinue use and notify the study organizer.

Privacy

Participant privacy is important to us. Personal information collected during the study, including contact details and survey responses, will be used only for the purposes of conducting the beta study and improving the Taper Ade product. We will never disclose personal information to the public or share identifiable participant information with third parties without the participant’s express consent. Participant feedback may be analyzed in aggregate or anonymized form for research and product development purposes.
