The Journey I Never Expected To Take.

My name is Matt von Boecklin. In 2023, while working as a chemical engineer in California, I encountered kratom for the first time. It changed the trajectory of my life. I quickly developed a dependency on Feel Free and OPMS extracts. I tried to quit several times, but the withdrawals were so punishing that I eventually wound up back on kratom.

From 0 to 1.

I knew I wanted to quit for good, but my fear of withdrawals kept me trapped. I did not want to join a treatment program, so I began researching clinical studies on non-prescription, opioid-free ways to combat withdrawals. To my surprise, I found numerous studies that showed how a range of common supplements could significantly ease withdrawal symptoms common to opioid addiction. I took what I learned, created a daily regimen, and quit for good with minimal withdrawals. 

The first Quit Kit ingredients.

From 1 to 50.

After I quit kratom, I promised myself that I would try to help others get clean. I dubbed my supplement formulation "Quit Kit," and after an appearance on the Kratom Sobriety Podcast, I pledged to send 50 free Quit Kits to anyone who needed one. I hoped that if Quit Kit worked for me, it could work for others. 

Within 6 weeks, I had fulfilled my pledge, and user feedback from across the country was overwhelmingly positive. I turned my full efforts towards growing awareness of Quit Kit. I decided that if Quit Kit can help people quit their addictions and get back control of their life, I will do what I must to make that happen.  

Paying It Forward.

The first Quit Kits were packed by hand and heat-sealed in individual pouches: Morning, Afternoon, and Nighttime Doses. I labeled, packed, heat-sealed, and trimmed every pouch from a controlled work station in my home. They came with enough supply for two weeks. 

 

By the time I had sent out 50 free Quit Kits, I had packed 2100 individual pouches and spent nearly $3,000.

What I hadn't counted on was the sheer generosity of the Quit Kit community. Even though I only asked for the cost of shipping for a Kit, more than 90% of people gave an additional amount. They asked that I use the extra money to pay for someone else's Quit Kit.

 

By the time the 50 kits had been delivered, these donations had covered over 80% of Quit Kit material costs.

I now work on Quit Kit full time. The testimonials from Quit Kit clients are nothing short of humbling. It is my dream that this formulation will help people around the world end their addictions to kratom and other opioids.
